Abstract Collection - September WIP

Abstract Collection - September WIP

This collection is nearly finished and I am so excited to share it with you in a few weeks.

This is the first time since my solo exhibition in 2015 that I have worked on a body of artwork to release as a collection. I started experimenting with these colours and inks a year ago, and continuing to paint during the craziness of 2020 has really helped my mental health.

The majority of the big artworks are repurposed from previous artworks I no longer love, and a mix of materials/canvases I have collected over the years. When I moved to our new house/studio I realised just how many I had sitting around waiting to be painted on.

I also started painting some pots we had around the house for the various house plants we now have. Some of them were just white pots, others were quite old and have been repainted white so they could be given a new life. People have really loved seeing the pots so a collection of hand painted pots may be on the horizon!
