SPIRIT: Conversations with Creative Women

SPIRIT: Conversations with Creative Women

Last week I was so excited to finally receive my copy of SPIRIT: Conversations with Creative Women. I am truly honoured to be featured in this beautiful book along side 33 other New Zealand women creatives. The book showcases stunning photographs by Ann Orman of our work and spaces. The personal stories written by Jannine Wilkinson share details about our lives, challenges, and work.

I was first interviewed for this book when I was pregnant with Arlo in 2018, 3 years ago! Since then I have moved out of my Ponsonby studio, become a mother, created a new home studio, pivoted my business due to the impact of COVID-19, and become a single mother. It feels really fitting to be receiving this book around the 7 year anniversary of running my creative business.

This book has been a labour of love and it has been so exciting watching the process of it coming together. With over 320 pages and foreword by the Rt Hon Helen Clark the book will motivate many people to seek out their own creative talent.
