I am excited to share a really fun commission I got to do for the latest issue of Woman Magazine with the support of Resene.
The brief was to paint a New Zealand landscape that meant something to me and I could interpret that however I wanted. I just knew had to paint Lake Taupō because our family has been spending summers at the lake since my grandpa was young. We have great family gatherings here with this view behind us, my sister recently got married here. It is pretty much the only place I was able to get to during the two years of lockdowns.
The beauty of Resene is you can create any colour palette you want. I adore this colour palette at the moment. The Resene colours I used are Cornflower, Pukeko, Moody Blue, Poet, Tranquil, Unwind, Alabaster, Guru, Tangaroa, Surfs up, Metallic Sputnik with the Resene Paint Effects Medium.
This piece will be up for Auction via Trade Me on August 22nd to raise money for Paint New Zealand Beautiful to help beautify our community with painting projects.
