To celebrate the 125th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New Zealand in 2018, artist Kate Hursthouse illustrated a series of extraordinary women from New Zealand’s history. Each illustration is accompanied by a biography researched and written by Kate’s mother Karen Brook. The 70 women included are just a small percentage of the long list of New Zealand women who have done extraordinary things. For a small country we have long been punching above our weight.

This e-book brings together all 70 illustrations and biographies into one easy to use educational resource. It contains a comprehensive resource list with clickable links, so you can easily visit the sites used to source information on each woman.

This A4 version has been created so you can use it in a number of ways:

  • You can view the e-book on your iPad, tablet or desktop computer. This version is set up to scroll through one page at a time.

  • You can print the illustrations as individual posters. This document is set up to print at A4 size (210mm x 297mm)

  • You can create double sided educational cards. You can print them at A4, A5 or A6 size and laminate yourself to use in your classroom or organization.

TERMS OF USE

You are permitted to view and print the pages for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not resell the artwork in any shape or form or distribute the electronic artwork files to any other people or organisation.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE E-BOOK?

Your digital product will be sent to your email, please ensure your email is entered correctly.

You will receive an email with a download link immediately following confirmation of your purchase. Your file will be downloaded as a pdf.

REFUND POLICY: Due to the digital nature of this listing, no refunds can be issued. But please contact us if you have any problems with your order.

Shipping

Orders can be shipped world-wide. Please double check shipping prices when you’re checking out. If you have any queries regarding your shipping costs please send me an email.

Please note due to COVID-19 we have no control over the shipping time for international orders and many countries are experiencing delays.

Shipping will be affected by any New Zealand lockdowns due to COVID-19. I can only ship if Auckland is at Alert Level 3 or lower. Thank you for your patience during this strange time.

Unfortunately we are unable to ship any prints or artwork framed with glass overseas.

 

SHIPPING TIMES

Orders are shipped within 2-5 working days following placement of the order.

Prints are made to order, so please keep that in mind - allow up to 10 days for prints to be created.


SHIPPING METHOD

Orders are shipped through NZ Post with the regular mail service.

Please note that we have no control over foreign Customs Services or Local Authorities, who may undertake surcharges, or charge Duty, Tax, Quarantine or other fees, at their discretion, and in accordance with local regulations.

RETURNS

Return policy

All sales are final and refunds will not be given unless the product breaches a guarantee under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. There is no refund or exchange if:

·       you change your mind

·       your circumstances change

·       you find cheaper products elsewhere

·       you don’t turn up to a workshop

If an art product is damaged in transit and unable to be repaired, please photograph the packaging as well as photographing the damaged art inside.  A refund or exchange may be available. Please contact me directly via email if this happens.

There are no returns or refunds on original artworks or limited edition prints as these are hand printed to order. If damage occurs in-transit please contact me directly via email.

All applications for a refund must be made in writing.

 

For workshops only:

a)    In person workshops

There are no refunds on any workshops if you change your mind, have a change of circumstance or don't turn up. I understand that life happens so if you cancel up to 24 hours before the workshop I can offer credits that can be applied to any available future workshops, art and products.

In this situation your place on a workshop is transferable to another person if you can’t attend.

If you cancel less than 72 hours before an in person workshop begins, or you do not turn up to a workshop, you will forfeit the entire fee.

b)    Online courses:

If you decide an online course is not right for you are unable to complete a course you may apply to withdraw from your course within 7 (seven) days of the start of the course. You can either transfer to a different workshop or course, or a refund may be granted. A $50 administration fee will be deducted from all refunds as well as any bank fees and teaching fees already incurred.

All refunds are discretionary as determined by Kate Hursthouse or members of her team. Please apply for a refund by emailing hello@katehursthouse.com

Please include all course work completed to date.         

There is no refund 7 (seven) days after you begin any online course
